We love going to Baroda Tap for lunch on the weekend. They have a delicious salmon sandwich with spinach, bacon and a refreshing lemon aioli. We also enjoy their Korean BBQ Wings. Last week, we tried their ham and cheese sandwich which was humongous and so delicious. The bartender, Mel is awesome. She's super sweet. Great little dive bar with yummy food.
I am a traveler from Iowa going through Michigan, stopped here for some food and was very impressed by everything this tap has to offer. The owner was amazing and made you feel at home, the servers were good, the food was fantastic! Highly recommend to anyone in the area. Make sure to try the pretzel sticks on the appetizer menu, you won't regret it!
Amazing service--thank you Rose!! Our entire party of 6 raved how delicious the food was. Onion rings so yummy I was thinking about them all weekend! Turkey Reuben, burgers, French dip, grilled cheese, wedge salad, fried mushrooms....too many things to remember. It's all good!!! I'd drive from afar to come here again and again. Yum!!!
We stopped in here after spending time at the wineries for a bite to eat. We sat at the bar and had a great time visiting with the bartender / owner and the locals. I had the fried chicken that was as good as any I had anywhere. The coleslaw was homemade and delicious. My husband, who is a vegetarian, had the veggie platter, and he said it was awesome. Others said the taco salad, which apparently is new to the menu, was good too. I will definitely be back!
Excellent spot for a quick bite or gathering. Good selection of beverages and delicious burgers!
Great food. Fantastic service. Hugh onion rings. Good place to eat when in Baroda. Try it out yourself
This I one of my parents go-to restaurants in the area. Last night was my first visit. It was soooo good! I had jerk chicken with fresh mango salsa on top. It came with a huge serving of cauliflower, Redskin potatoes AND a side salad for such a reasonable price. The waitress was so nice and took great care of us.
Good food. We went here for a late Saturday lunch after picking cherries near by. It was pretty quiet with only one long table with a family and some people at the bar. I can see this place getting busy at meal times in the weekend. I had the fried Tap Burger. It was nicely grilled and then (beer?) batter fried. Topped with some coleslaw and red onion on a buttery roll. Got it with "sidewinder fries" (thick, corkscrew shaped) and a dill pickle spear. Great! Wife got the 10 chicken wings with parmesan and garlic seasoning and he let me try one. Really good! My Mom-in-law liked her shrimp tacos and my little one like her grilled cheese. Great place, we'll be back!
One Friday night, my girlfriend and I were driving from Chicago to Kalamazoo and the time zone change eliminated a lot of our usual dining options. Yelp steered us a few miles off I-94 to Baroda Tap & Grille. It's in the middle of nowhere. We got there at 9:50 and the bar was packed with people. We asked an employee when the kitchen closes and she said 10:00. If we ordered quickly, could they still whip us up a plate? Yes? Yes! The dining room is pretty sad-looking. My booth seat was ripped. The color scheme seems pretty goofy. But you're not here for ambiance. You're here for grub (or more likely, booze). We began with an order of the pretzel sticks ($6.50). They were quite good, especially with the killer buffalo chicken cheese dip. That stuff was liquid gold. Incredible. I ordered the French dip ($12). There wasn't much roast beef on the bun and the Swiss cheese wasn't entirely melted. It was pretty good, but I've had better. The French fries were out of this world, though. They're giant curved slabs of potato. I have no idea how they carved them out of their larger potato bodies, but they were phenomenal. Also, they were scalding hot when they hit the table. Nice touch. Our server was SUPER nice. It was only her second day on the job, but she was friendly and cheerful, even though we were the only two there to eat. A significant downside: Baroda Tap & Grille is LOUD. The noise from the bar spilled into the dining room and there was a speaker blasting Johnny Cash right above us. I love Johnny Cash, but I also love not having my ears ring when I walk out of a restaurant. My girlfriend *loved* her grilled portobello sandwich ($9.50). She raved about it for days afterward. (She did prefer my fries over her garlic potato chips.) Thanks for slaying our late night hunger, Baroda Tap & Grille. We'll be back. Just nudge the volume down a bit, will ya?
